You also need to consider that titles are relatively easier to get today.. People who did r12 luxon/kurzick in AB, people who did vanquishs/guardians without 7( or even 3) heroes... people who did survivor/ascalon defender in a classic way..

Quite the same goes for a few PvP titles such as gladiator or hero( reminding you that zaishen is considered PvP for HoM..)..

That's totally not true, especially the thing about prices... When the HoM first came out, yes, there was a sudden explosion of prices, but everything has settled to the same prices they had before the HoM update and even lower... Alcohol is cheaper than ever (@80g/point), you can finally buy sweets for 100-120g/point instead of 150g/point, which was the case when I wanted to max it, and people have finally stopped asking 200g+ for party point cause Anet is too lazy to add sparklers to the merchant... Heck, you can even buy party points @50g/point if you buy tonics (which is what I did when I maxed it, and I was poor) it just takes a little longer to max it if you do so...

What else has become more expensive? Armor? Ecto's are at their lowest atm, used to be 8-9 and even 11k at some point, now, they're 6,5k (at least when I last checked). Rubies and Sapphires stopped being 12k ea and have come down as well. Primeval armor remnants are back to 5k/ea, etc...

All the prices have settled. Nothing is more expensive than it was before the update, with the exception of rubies and sapphires, which are about double what they were before...

My point was you shouldnt really buy the game just for the sake of HoM, yeah the HoMs nice but don't force yourself to do it. Whilst saying this, i was saying buy all the games as the content is deffinatly worth the cheap price of the game and will give you so much content that you could enjoy for hours.

So, I have a sort of general question. I didn't really follow this guide but got up to 30/50 and am banking like 150k. Is it... worth the effort of going for the last 20 points for titles, or should I not bother wasting my time and just go back to playing the game for fun.

I feel like it's going to be impossible to get to 50 without doing a lot of the PvP achievements, which I'd need help with since I'm such a noob >.<

Getting to 50 requires cash, there's only one pvp achievement needed. Obsidian armor, miniatures, 15 weapons, etc.

I have 37 points. That means I have all the goodies that the titles will give you. If I reach 40 points I will be a Flameseeker instead of a Ghostly Hero. I doubt most people will be able to tell you which title goes with what number of points. If its worth the hassle to you go for the big 50 points but remember if you are a couple of weeks late in buying GW2 people will call you a noob no matter what your lofty title is.

Yeah... I was thinking I'd be headed towards 45 points (Legend of the Mists is probably one of the few titles I'd use) rather than aiming for 50, since I don't actually foresee ever having the money to buy Obsidian Armor in addition to everything else.

I've just got free time, and GW2 won't be out for a bit. It seems like my best bet is to just farm money and buy the rest of the points that I can then. My alternative was to just stop at 30 and start helping newcomers get to 30 with my free time.

Nice guide
I'm shooting fo 30/50, if I have spare time I guess I may go for more points but although it would be cool to have the higher titles I don't really see too much point (unless you got special emotes or something).
I will probably just enjoy playing characters other than my main for a bit

This guide is shit and i made an account just to say that.

Why is it getting so much praise? it just tells you what you need, it doesnt at all tell you the steps to get it.

God forbid you have to make any effort yourself, right?
